Main Tasks
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Social Worker will:
Participate to the information campaign about the program, the COVID and cholera awareness, and to the general assessment before starting the rehabilitation work;
Coordinate the training for the beneficiaries regarding M&E and support the collection of feedbacks from beneficiaries;
Be the Focal Point regarding social services, identifying the cases who need support, will be in charge of the social counselling and eventually of referral;
Support the monitoring of the project and will gather all the data regarding the progress of the project and the social condition of the beneficiaries;
Assist the Project Manager during the work meetings;
Report every day the problems to the Project Manager and provide weekly reports.
Assist in any additional tasks assigned by the Project manager in line with the job profile.
Qualifications
Degree in Social Work or teaching
At least 3 years of working experience with local communities
Previous working experience in an international NGO (desirable)
Experience in Cash for Work project (desirable)
Proven sense of professional discretion, integrity, and ability to work in an international environment
Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation within a mission or the organisation itself;
Well organized;
Hard worker;
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, Good English
Computer knowledge (word, excel, …)
Good reporting skills
Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work flexible hours in the event of major emergencies
