As part of its current restructuring process in alignment with its Three-Years Country Plan (2023/2025), ABAAD is recruiting specialists for its new Model Centers for multidisciplinary Holistic Care to Combat GBV in Lebanon in different regions around the country.
JOB TITLE: Project Officer
LOCATION: Beirut, Lebanon
ABAAD PURPOSE:

JOB PURPOSE:
The Project Officer will be working closely with the Project Coordinator on the implementation of the projects.
REPORTING LINES:
Post holder reports to: Project Coordinator
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and work closely with the project coordinator on the overall implementation of the Gender related projects/activities in Lebanon;
- Contribute to the project implementation in line with the agreed action plan with the Project Coordinator and project team, and ensure timely responses;
- Facilitate the implementation of ABAAD implemented activities through coordination with the local community actors, project and field staff
- Support the Project Coordinator with the development of various TORs, project management tools and ensure the qualifications match the scope of the work/assignment;
- Consolidate reports on the project implemented activities and enhance learning, Report on impact level on the field, define challenges and lesson learnt;
- Facilitate learning and linkages among local staff and partner organizations;
- Assist in the preparation of partners' contracts, and amendments when deemed necessary
- Contribute to the periodic monitoring of the project as well as learning reviews and ensure proper documentation;
- Capture learning and document the work of successful stories, to ensure that the projects’ inputs are producing positive results;
- Participate in the meetings with the project stakeholders as requested by the Project Coordinator;
- Conduct administrative tasks, and coordinate activities to support the national and regional events as planned, including training, workshops and conferences;
- Prepare payment requests, floats as needed;
- Assist in other tasks as requested by the Project Coordinator and as deemed necessary for project development.
- Develop communication messages relevant to the Project work and streamlining the project messaging;
- Conceptualize and develop creative communication actions and tools for the projects, including tailored tools the projects’ target groups;
- Assist in promotion and dissemination of advocacy materials for launching initiatives and publications; and
- Communication is largely with internal staff, also with some external contacts and target audiences to support operational work.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:
- Minimum of two years of experiences (NGO is a must)
- University degree in social science or related discipline, including gender and development
- Proven track record of working in a similar capacity with the nation and/or international NGOs in the region
- Knowledge of gender and gender equality
- Skilled in report writing in both languages (Arabic and English – French is a plus);
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic including demonstrable ability to work with others and as part of a team
- Knowledge and skills in computer usage including word, excel, power point, and social media
- Good organizational skills
- Effective member of team and role model; demonstrates creativity in seeking better ways to do things and shares with team, and promotes high standards
