Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Officer

The Rene Moawad Foundation is recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Officer.

LOCATION: Mejdlaya (North) or Achrafiyeh (Beirut)

Position summary

The Monitoring and Evaluation M&E Senior Officer will be responsible for designing and implementing MEL Plans, M&E frameworks, indicators and tools, in line with donor reporting requirements, and internal M&E system. The M&E Senior Officer will work along other staff members to support the implementation of RMF Programs and Projects.

The M&E Senior Officer will report directly to the Head of M&E Department.

Regular tasks

  • Prepare M&E plans and design associated M&E templates.
  • Develop accurate, tangible, and measurable baselines, indicators and targets at the sector and project level.
  • Elaborate and write success stories.
  • Feeding the M&E reporting systems with info, numbers, and progress.
  • Working closely with the Projects Managers and Program Directors.
  • Responsible for Data Validation, Data Management, Data Analysis and Narrative Reporting.

Education and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in the Monitoring, Evaluation field, preferably with knowledge on needs/impact assessment methods.
  • Strong experience in narrative reporting, and ability to produce high quality reports.
  • Experience in designing monitoring tools and database systems.
  • Strong Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in digital tools development using XLS coding (ODK, KOBO, Survey123…)
  • Experience in training and coaching.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to use computer programs to collect, document and share assessment and monitoring results.
  • Team player, takes initiative, problem-solver and multi-task behavior.
  • Interpersonal and Organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
