Case Worker

Responsibilities & Duties:

-  Act according to the guiding principles of Child Protection Case Management including:

Child Centered Approach, Respect of Confidentiality, Prioritize according to safety concerns, and Do No Harm

-  Ensure a non-discriminatory approach

-  Act according to the best interest of the child

-  Ensure accountability

-  Respect professional boundaries and avoid conflict of interest

-  Ensure Child participation

-  Ensure that protection principles are understood, maintained and enforced

- Organize and carry out work, via home visits, to address an individual, and their family’s needs in an appropriate, systematic and timely matter through direct support and or referrals

- Provide basic counseling and psychosocial support

- Provide appropriate follow up and referrals system/mechanism supervisor

- Assess needs and resources

- Do No Harm analysis

- Prepare monthly/quarterly report as required

 

 

Work Experiences:

- One to two years of experience in case management within emergency response

- Knowledge with issues relating to counseling, Gender Based Violence, Child Protection or Social Change is preferable

- NGOs experience

- Computer Skills
