Restoring Family Links Field Officer (Middle)-Zahle-

General Description:

The restoring family links officer collects tracing requests for missing persons in Syria, reviews previously collected cases and keeps regular contacts with families residing in Lebanon to provide or collect additional information in non-accompaniment project priority areas

Objectives and Tasks:

Case collection and individual follow up with families

Collects Syria-related Tracing cases; migration-related Tracing cases, and Lebanon-related Tracing cases; and forward them for review by direct supervisor. 

Systematically reviews the information on the tracing requests and through the Ask for News (AFN) collects the missing information and documents, from families/enquirers.

Contacts enquirers at least once a year to provide and collect additional information

Carries out field visits to trace enquirers with whom the ICRC has lost contact and update their files with the needed information

Contributes to the implementation of all requested RFL activities not related to the Missing file

Updates the activities related to contacts made with family members by phone according to the current data entry procedures and proactively crosschecks his/her own data entry with the available control tools

conducts RFL dissemination to beneficiaries and other stakeholders (I/NGOs, associations, government authorities) and other entities. 

Economic and other forms of support

pre-identifies families of Syria Missing eligible for Cash Transfer program or community based related programs.

Identifies other specific needs of the families of missing and ensure their referrals to relevant departments within ICRC or externally to other I/NGOs;

Supports in mapping and identifying service providers

 

Additional Duties:

When needed, supports the multidisciplinary response to the needs of the families of Syria Missing in Accompaniment project priority areas through conducting ask for news, collecting family compositions and assisting in the organization of the related activities

 

General Duties:

May be asked to perform tasks not covered in this job description and to provide support to other departments when necessary.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Years of experience required: 3 - 5 years of experience including 2 years of NGO experience

Level of education: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree is a plus.

Field of education: Social Sciences

Languages: Arabic and English, French is a plus.

Job Details:

Job Location : Tripoli, Lebanon.

Working Schedule: Monday till Friday, from 8 Am till 5 Pm.

Contract Type: Determined Period, 1 Year (Renewable).

Salary Package :2037-3200 USD/Month (As per ICRC salary scale, salary setting processes will determine fair setting in coherence with the qualifications of the applicant and the requirements of the job).
