Project Coordinator

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the joint work of the disability organizations in accordance with the Program Plan and Principles.
  2. Facilitate linking and learning between the different program components.
  3. Facilitate and oversee the joint planning and monitoring process of the project and compile and submit plans and reports.
  4. Ensure timely preparation of reports on achievements and challenges faced within the project.
  5. Follow up with the program manager and the financial manager on financial liquidation/settlement/ reports of joint activities according to LUPD’s procedures and submit spending reports for review and approval.
  6. Ensure that key donor compliance rules and regulations are adhered to.
  7. Ensure consistency of the project and advise on potential areas of collaboration between the different partners.
  8. Support linkage of the program with other relevant initiatives.
  9. Support the program manager in the preparation and records of the different levels of meetings (management team, project board, advisory group).
  10. Leading the implementation of the activities related to the first specific objective (To support persons with disabilities to become advocates for inclusive and accessible social protection).

Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:

Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of:

•    The context in Lebanon, particularly on issues affecting the rights of persons with disabilities.

•    Human Rights Issues and Social Protection in the country. Knowledge of these issues at the international level is a plus.

•    Project coordination of NGOs/CSOs.

Qualifications and Experience:

•    Minimum 3 years of experience working in a human rights context.

•    Minimum 2 years of experience working in program coordination, consortium coordination, lobbying & advocacy, human rights, meaningful participation, and/or similar areas, preferably with a civil society/non-governmental organization is an added value.

•    Experience in networking with CSOs and relevant governmental institutions.

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
