Junior financial management and administration (Junior Project Manager) - INS

Job Profile

  1. Required qualifications, competences and experience Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business
    • At least 3 years of professional work experience in related field in the region in a comparable position/with a similar work experience
    • At least 2 years’ proven experience with EU and/or other donors, tender’s preparation and project management
    • Long standing proven experience in contract negotiations with cooperation partners (international and local)
    • Previous experience in project acquisition is considered as an asset

     

 

Other knowledge, additional competences
    • Full IT proficiency (all current MS Office applications, internet)
    • Sound written and spoken command of Arabic, English and French (ability to read, write and understand complex documents) are a must
    • Knowledge of German will be an asset. Able to work autonomously under high time pressure and workload
    • Intercultural skills, service-oriented attitude
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, negotiation and keen on working in a team

 

  1. Tasks & Responsibilities
  1. Core scope of tasks Junior financial management and administration advisor acting as Junior Project Manager

 

Project acquisition, i.e.
    • Screening and assessment of business opportunities published by the European Institutions and other donors like, EIB, World Bank, DFID, EBRD etc.,
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and potential customers within the European Institutions and other donors
    • Autonomous preparation of letters of interest and conceptional and methodological coordination of technical offers, including the identification of and negotiation with experts and consortium partners. Calculating competitive financial proposals in cooperation with Project Commercial Officer
    • Responsible for the Expression of Interest process, in all its components in full respect of the procedures and selection criteria stipulated by the Clients: redaction, conformity with requested formats, respect of the selection criteria, review and check with the partners the content of the information provided etc…
    • Tender dossier preparation –Technical (Search of experts, methodology and preparation of administrative docs) and Financial proposal (budget preparation and experts’ timetable)
    • Monitor the advancement of the projects including the financial, technical reporting as well as additional networking accompanying professional state-of-the-art project implementation
    • Monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects, including the oversight of project reports to the client
    • Supervising Key Experts and identification of short-term experts.

 

The above list of tasks is not exhaustive and might be complemented according to the actual needs of the projects and the MENA region. All tasks shall be carried out under supervision of and in close collaboration with the other Project Managers and / or the Regional Director.
