The Opportunity
As a member of the Child Protection, Education and Food Security and Livelihoods team, the Multi-Service Community Centres Project coordinator will oversee the planning and implementation of the Multi-Service Community Centres Project in East Area Office under the supervision of the Child Protection Program Manager. The role holder will ensure the multi sectoral intervention is of a high technical quality particularly with regard to Education activities, that monitoring processes are in place, that high quality timely reporting occurs, and that the programme is continually assessed, and solutions are quickly put in place for a change of context.”
In addition, the post holder will ensure all aspect of the project are running smoothly (project life cycle), follow up on all financial expenditures of the project is taking place and will ensure coordination between all sectors.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Science or similar. Master’s degree is desirable.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
- At least five years’ experience in Education/Child Protection.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Solid project management skills related to organisational development projects and with a proven history of delivering results
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Good planning and reporting skills.
- Experience in working at community level with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Prior experience as a Master Trainer and/or in capacity building or coaching of teachers.
- Prior experience in a similar position with a local or international NGO.
- Experience working with multi-grade/multi-level classes.
- A very good understanding of other sectoral programs and a working knowledge of the program priorities of the Country Office.
- Proven track record in timely and quality delivery of results/education programmes with limited guidance.
- Good understanding of education quality issues, including child-centred, inclusive and active learning methods and willingness to continuously update his/her skills.
