Solidarités International is an International NGO working with vulnerable populations, mainly victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters. Specialized for nearly 40 years in the coverage of vital needs, S.I. takes charge of emergency and reconstruction programs.

ABOUT THE JOB
General objective:
The consortium communication specialist has a mandate of coordinating and designing communication plans and strategies for the Consortium Management Unit (CMU) to be deployed across member agencies; within the contractual obligations with the donor and CMU needs. The mandate will consist in implementing specifically the communication plan established in the beginning of the project and make sure that the consortium activities are being advertised through social media via posts, statements, videos, and interviews.
Responsibilities and main activities:
- Draft a communication strategy paper for the consortium
- Conceive based on (a) a communication plan for the consortium in coordination with the consortium partner
- Draft, with the Consortium Coordinator, a series of short videos (1.30 minutes) on different topics related to the Consortium work, to be displayed on social media
- Coordinate with partners and with HQ of SI in Paris, to be able to post on social media of SI one post every week on the consortium’s work progress
- Liaise with events management companies in the Lebanese market to potentially organize conferences related to the project’s needs
- Coordinate with specific stakeholders, to organize meetings, prepare venues for events related to the consortium
- Communicate with the Donor, further to the Consortium Coordinator’s instruction and the needs, mainly for validation from their media unit(s)
- Support SI and partners in Communication tasks if related to the consortium’s project needs
- Prepare monthly site rep for the Consortium Coordinator including comms material and links
- Make sure all actions are in conformity with the communication plan annexed to the agreement signed with the donor
The above list is a non-exhaustive one, nor limitative. You could be asked other responsibilities and tasks within the framework of the job on demand of the direct line manager.
YOUR PROFILE
Specific skills and experience:
- BA in communication arts or audio-visual
- Master Degree in ‘’Information and Communication’’ or ‘’Marketing and Communication’’ is highly appreciated
- Experience in Communication more than 5 years, mostly in creative content, innovation, shooting short movies, etc.
Soft skills:
- Ability to draft communication strategies, create plans, and act accordingly
- Ability to understand contexts, and create/collaborate/manage the creation of scripts
- Knowledge of the Lebanese media market and networks
- Ability to work in complex structures
- Diplomacy and savvy personality
