SCOPE OF WORK AND REQUIREMENTS:

Component 1: Sustainability Investment Framework
The objective for the consultant is to assess the efficiency and impact of the startup on 4 levels: Economic, Social, Environment, and Territory.

The consultant will use the IMPACT RATING TOOL. The tool proposes a scoring method that focuses on the local impacts of businesses and economic development organisations. The IMPACT RATING scoring method provides an assessment of the performance of a business in terms of local impacts, with regards to four areas: Economic, Social, Environment and Territory. The tool is aligned with international initiatives and allows to assess a company’s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs.

It meets two objectives:

  1. Provide businesses with a concrete method to assess and - maximise their local impact in the management of their affairs.
  2. Allow citizens, public/private institutions, and all stakeholders to identify and acknowledge the achievements and commitments of enterprises who are present on their territory.

The impact rating tool questionnaire consists of 90 questions and 33 criteria to provide a rating of impact. The questions are divided into four impact categories and startups will have the possibility to evaluate themselves on one or more of these categories. Once the questionnaire is completed, startups will be able to view their scores by category and overall. The Impact rating tool will allow startups to engage towards more positive impacts of their territories and encourage them to develop their social responsibility and contribution to sustainable development.

Component 2: Impact Strategy Development/Action Plan

Based on the results of the IMPACT RATING TOOL, the consultant will work closely with the startups to develop an impact strategy report and action plan that allow the start-up to achieve better rating results. The start-up will therefore receive tailored support from the consultant to adopt better economic/social/environmental/territorial practices.

Component 3: Methodology for the implementation of a circular economy
