Job Description

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is seeking a Life skills trainer/coach for this program to provide Face to Face training, Develop a Plan of Life Skills training to include elements of leadership, decision-making, effective communication, as well as skills for developing healthy relationships and positive self-awareness, core values such as self-confidence, respecting oneself and others, managing emotions, personal responsibility, conflict management, teamwork, communication (listening, verbal, written), creative and critical thinking.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Deliver the training for 30 participants in a location near Burj Hamoud
  2. Prepare the lecture for each day
  3. Correct the pre/post tests
  4. Prepare required assignments/ homework/ exercises / handovers related to the material that meet the goal of teaching the participants.
  5. Other duty assigned by the project manager

Reporting/Communication

  1. Draft narrative and quantitative reports as per B&Z internal requirements and donor requirements.
  2. Ensure internal communication and information sharing on project with relevant staff (Business Officer, Livelihoods manager)

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  1. Education: University degree in Business management, Social Sciences or any other field relevant to development.
  2. Experience: Minimum 3 years of previous experience in life skills training.
  3. Proven experience in content creation and curriculum design.
  4. Arabic and English fluency is a must (spoken and written)
  5. Good organizational and time-management skills.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Computer literate.
  8. Proactive, flexible and dynamic.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  1. Knowledge of issues relating to women rights, gender, humanitarian, development issues, and protection response.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills and a supportive technical and communication style.
  3. Ability to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with partners including local authorities.
  4. An understanding of and commitment to B&Z’s mission and values
  5. Patience and positive attitude are highly requested
  6. Strong communication skills.
  7. Excellent command of written and oral English and Arabic
  8. Good Presentation skills
  9. Ethic and professional practice
  10. Always respect of beneficiaries’ confidentiality.
  11. Respect and promote B&Z’s Policies and report to your line manager any non-respect of B&Z’s policies amongst the teams or partners.
  12. Address needs and requests in a professional way.
  13. Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.
  14. Always respect a refusal of assistance in job opportunity that is not the field of interest for the beneficiary
