Project Implementation Coordinator

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The USAID/Lebanon Trade and investment Facilitation (TIF) Activity aims to facilitate the export of Lebanese goods and services to generate foreign exchange through investments and business enabling environment reform that simultaneously promote job creation, income generation, and improved livelihoods throughout the country.

TIF has three objectives:

  1. Increase exports of Lebanese goods and services.
  2. Investment facilitation leading to increased domestic investment.
  3. Improve business and investment enabling environment.

With a crosscutting objective which is communicating results through outreach and sharing knowledge with private and public sectors. 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Project Implementation Coordinator is needed to provide implementation follow-up various different projects (grants) under TIF and increase the current pace of implementation while successfully completing the required deliverables within the appropriate timeframe in an efficient and effective way. He/she will work closely with TIF’s Business Development Manager (BDM) on the day-to-day activity management and will support in the reporting, monitoring milestones. This includes coordinating with partners, grantees, and stakeholders in administrative, technical/operational, and communication tasks that are vital to the effective and efficient implementation of TIF's technical team.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the implementation of grants in close coordination with the technical team.  
  • Support, in coordination with the BDM on developing and completing required documents/reports related to grant implementation.
  • Conduct field visits as required to partners, grantees and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating grant status and duties in project tracking tools.
  • Review supporting documentations and deliverables of milestones.
  • Follow ERAC (Environmental Review and Assessment Checklist): The candidate should monitor and make sure to that all the recommendation and measurements required by the ERAC form are implemented properly.
  • Collect and provide in a timely manner all documents/proof/information/visit reports as required by TIF technical team.
  • Support in gathering documentation needed for the Monitoring and Evaluation, as well as conduct surveys and collect data.
  • Other programmatic and technical duties as assigned by the technical team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in field monitoring and/or coordination (preferably to be familiar with USAID regulations)
  • Demonstrated professional experience in drafting reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Be open-minded, consider multiple metrics when making both analysis and decisions.
  • Able to work under stress and having good time management.
  • Able to travel across all Lebanon.
  • Experience preferably working on donor-funded (USAID or other donors) projects in a related role with strong technical writing skills.
  • Experienced in assisting technical teams in day-to-day program operations, analysis, and report writing.
  • Excellent/fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Ability to work independently and having strong follow up skills.

LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT

Throughout Lebanon in Beirut/Mount Lebanon, South, North and Bekaa areas.
