Delivering an ESG Masterclass + one on one sessions for startups- ScaleSmart Program

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

The ScaleSmart program aims to support pre-seed or seed startups working in different sectors to scale up by equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to plan a solid fundraising path, matching them with investors and investment opportunities, and improving their chances of successfully raising funds.

The ScaleSmart program seeks an experienced ESG consultant to support startups in implementing sustainable business practices and reporting on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. The engagement includes:

• A masterclass on ESG frameworks and reporting for impact investment
• One-on-one sessions with the startups for tailored guidance over the duration of 4 months to deliver the following, as applicable:

1. Conduct ESG assessments for startup clients to identify their current ESG practices, risks, and opportunities.

2. Assist startups in developing an ESG strategy and action plan that aligns with industry best practices and the stage of the startups’ growth.

3. Provide startups with guidance on ESG reporting standards and frameworks, setting ESG targets and tracking their progress towards achieving them.

The following deliverables are expected from the ESG Consultant:

1. ESG assessment reports for each startup, including recommendations for improvement.

2. Customized ESG action plans for each startup.

3. Training and guidance on ESG reporting and best practices.

An organization or an individual, having the following expertise:

1. bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental science or related field.
2. At least 10 years of experience in ESG consulting, sustainability reporting, or related field.
3. Strong understanding of ESG issues, reporting frameworks, and industry best practices.
4. Preferably experience working with startups
