INVESTMENT ADVISOR - ScaleSmart Program

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

The ScaleSmart program aims to support pre-seed or seed startups working in different sectors to scale up by equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to plan a solid fundraising path, matching them with investors and investment opportunities, and improving their chances of successfully raising funds.

The ScaleSmart program seeks an Investment Advisor to advise scaleups in their fundraising activities and process. The engagement includes one-on-one sessions with the startups over the duration of 4 months for tailored guidance on the below:

1. Advise and support on the startup investment strategy (funding goals, funding sources, fundraising timelines, valuation etc...)
2. Review and advise on the fundraising materials, including pitch decks, financial projections, and business plans.
3. Providing guidance and advice related to the fundraising process, including negotiations with investors and the structuring of investment agreements.

Qualifications

The Investment Advisor should have the following qualifications:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in fundraising and investment advisory roles, preferably with experience in startups.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the startup ecosystem, including funding sources, investor expectations, and fundraising best practices.
