Senior Human Resources Manager - Beirut Association for Social Development

Job Objective:

Lead and manage the Human Resources Department at Beirut Association for Social Development HQ.

Main Tasks:

  • Develop and implement HR and employee policies, strategies, and programs that align with the overall vision and mission of the organization, in coordination with the Chief Executive Officer. This involves developing and maintaining a code of conduct and ethical standards, harassment and discrimination policies, attendance policies, performance expectations and evaluation, compensation and benefits policies, workplace safety and security policies, employee communication policies, Employee discipline, and termination policies.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, in collaboration with department managers, ensuring that the organization attracts and hires the best talent. This includes developing and reviewing job descriptions, posting job advertisements, screening resumes, conducting reference checks, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
  • Design and implement training and development programs tailored for the employees at the health, social, and education sectors of the Beirut Association for Social Development. This involves identifying skills gaps, designing training material, delivering training sessions, and evaluating them.
  • Manage HR-related administrative tasks and payroll in coordination with the Finance department and legal advisor. This involves overseeing contracts, attendance sheets, annual leaves, social security registration, NSSF, taxes, insurance, payroll administration, and other.
  • Manage employee relations and maintain open lines of communication between management and employees, resolving any conflicts and ensuring a positive, friendly, and productive work environment is in place.
  • Develop and implement performance management programs that enable the organization to monitor and evaluate employee performance. This includes setting performance targets, conducting performance appraisals, and providing feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain high-quality employees, ensuring that the organization offers competitive compensation packages that attract and retain top talent. This involves developing compensation policies, conducting salary surveys, and designing and implementing employee benefits programs.
  • Analyze the HR function and identify areas for improvement, as well as develop plans to address any gaps or challenges related to turnover rates, employee engagement levels, and other key metrics.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in human resources management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and programs that align with business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
