Graphic Designer

Graphical design

  • Create and maintain a high quality, unified visual identity that permeates Siren’s visual identity (print, Web, multimedia, site branding). 
  • Provide graphic design and formatting for Siren’s core publications, working closely with departments to assist in branding, design and production of various collaterals as needed.
  • Design and coordinate the production of deliverables for conferences, events, etc.
  • Design infographics, presentations, reports, training materials and other print and digital materials.
  • Conceptualise and design visuals based on requirements in an engaging, easily understood format.
  • Uplift presentations.
  • Create simple GIFs.
  • Resize images for the website if needed.
  • Create short explanatory videos (images & text or images/video/text/VO).
  • Develop and maintain a communications toolkit consisting of standard, programme-branded templates for letters, reports, PowerPoint presentations, e-mails signatures etc.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of still photo images for use on the Siren’s Web site and in print publications, either by direct photography, by sourcing and acquiring appropriate commercial image galleries, or by arranging photo shoots with an external production company.

​To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need

  • Degree in Graphic Design or related field. 
  • Solid, demonstrable experience in the use of design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop or other similar tools). 
  • A strong portfolio of infographics or other designs demonstrating strong data visualisation skills.
  • Experience developing and designing reports and PowerPoints for public consumption. 
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details. 
  • Excellent command of written, read and spoken Arabic and English. 
  • Creative, with strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good internal and external relationships. 
  • Experience working in development and/or public sector reform is preferable. 
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
