Job Purpose
The Community Health Worker (CHW) will be in direct contact with the beneficiaries covered under this program as well as with the contracted primary healthcare centers’ focal points. The CHW will assess the vulnerability of Children under 5 and Pregnant Lactating Women. He/she will also refer them to the nearest assigned healthcare facilities that can give them the specific care and help needed.

Minimum Hiring Requirements
A university degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Nursing, Laboratory, Biochemistry, Social & Behavioral Sciences, Pharmacy, Psychology, or any related medical/health field
At least 1 year of experience in the health/nutrition sector
INGO/NGO experience is preferable.
Experience in working with refugees, vulnerable Lebanese, and migrant communities is desirable
Previous experience working for a humanitarian organization and/or work experience in data collection is desirable
Demonstrate a high level of cultural sensitivity, professionalism, politeness, and objectivity when dealing with the beneficiaries under all circumstances
High ability to adapt to field setting; motivation to work in a challenging environment requiring personal flexibility
Time management and the ability to meet deadlines
Good command of the English language
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google drive tools, and Kobo collect
Responsibilities
Coordinate with local authorities and all related stakeholders to explain the project's objectives, services provided, and the list of Primary healthcare centers, supported under the project to increase the community's sensitization towards the project.
Assist with planning work on a weekly and monthly basis in accordance with the Outreach work plan.
Support the field and outreach activities coordinator in preparation for outreach work.
Conduct door-to-door visits on a daily basis to identify and engage the targeted communities.
Identify malnutrition cases (SAM and MAM) through screening of targeted beneficiaries (Pregnant Lactating Women and Children Under 5 years old) for potential malnutrition according to the provided checklist.
Ensure that safe identification and referrals are done with transparency, confidentiality, and efficiency to meet the needs and provide access to needed services.
Distribute of MNPs to children and educate caregivers on how to use the MNP.
Map the area & identify the location fit for the outreach plan.
Raise awareness about services provided by the PHCCs.
Session management (ECD sessions, vaccination sessions….).
Register children in MERA and screen vaccination cards of children and mobilize community to outreach vaccination sessions, nutrition screening, and other activities.
Conduct assessments of children for priority intervention out of school, children’s birth Registration, children with disability, and referral to other programs or partners.
Support in response to any emergency (cholera, Hepatitis…).
Mobilize families for vaccination.
Follow up with CU5 and PLW referred for any services, and maintain contact with their families.
Coordinate with Makani and ECD corners to ensure follow-up of children as needed, and engagement of community in any ECD program.
Communicate any issues encountered during data collection immediately to the Field and outreach activities Coordinator.
Filling the data accurately including all notes collected from the field using Kobo/papers forms.
Ensure data protection and confidentiality.
