JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of the position is to ensure the quality of the implementation of the Resilience and Livelihood projects in different area by providing the day to day technical support as assigned by the technical specialist and providing the necessary capacity building to operations teams.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the quality of the implementation of the Resilience and livelihood activities.
- Ensure that minimum WV standards of the Resilience and Livelihood and Food Security in assigned projects are in place.
- Train and coach the staff on the Livelihood, Agriculture, Food Security, Basic Assistance project models and relevant topics and approaches;
- Provide recommendations and comments on overall project quality with the support of technical specialist
- Contribute to the development of the sector strategy, project logframes, budgets and support the development of technical tools, guidance and mechanisms
- Contribute to the development of appropriate and market-based programme modalities, such as cash, voucher, in-kind, service provision
- Leadon developing project tools such as SOPs, beneficiary selection tools, training curriculum and tests…)
- Lead in the proposal development for new funding opportunities, project budgets and relevant reports
- Conduct regular field visits to assess progress alignment of cash, livelihood and food security and agriculture projects with project models and sector standards.
- Support in development of research ideas on Livelihood, Food security and Agriculture feeding on MEAL department Research Agenda (including agricultural value chain approach)
- Represent WVL in Livelihood, Basic Assistance and Food Security and Agriculture national sector monthly meetings and other when relevant
- Monitor quality collection of data in assessments and surveys and contribute to qualitative data collection and interpretation of findings.
- Collect evidence and reference to support anecdotal and primary data analysis and interpretation.
- Report observations of different projects and interventions to technical specialist.
- Develop project material such as training material, information sessions or awareness material to be delivered to beneficiaries (households, farmers and producers groups,etc..).
- Lead on the reporting on activity info for different LCRP sectors WVL is having relevant projects (Food security and Agriculture, Basic Assistance, Livelihood, Social Stability,
- Lead on the integration of financial education in implementation plans of all relevant projects.
- Lead on the integration of nutrition awareness in all relevant projects.
- Lead on the wages monitoring for labor market to inform current and future projects
- Review ToRs and recruitment processes of new consultants and contractors in relevant sectors.
- Coordinate with the relevant ministries representatives, business owners and research institutes on topics pertaining to the livelihood, food security and agriculture sectors
Ensure Do No-Harm approach in Cash and livelihood projects.
- Work in compliance with WVI Sector theme Do, Assure Don’t Do Framework
- Support Technical Specialist in identification of risks and monitoring of risk matrix and mitigation plans.
- Report CP incidents as per the safeguarding policy guidelines.
Handle tracking, reporting on activities and filing
- Ensure that a monthly programmatic/technical progress report is submitted with recommendation to assure adequate implementation of all projects.
- Ensure the implementation of all Technical tools to all projects.
Perform other duties as required
- Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally.
- Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events.
- Responsible of own & staff security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.
- Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
- At least 3 years relevant experience working in livelihood or economic development projects in international or local NGO.
- Bachelor degree in Economic, Agriculture, Nutrition, international development or other related fields,
- Fluent in Microsoft office (Power points/Excel/Word….)
- Knowledge and experience working livelihood and economic development,
- Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Creative and able to come up, embrace and coordinate innovative thinking, and problem solving skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to cope and work under pressure.
- Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations.
- High coordination skills.
- Willing to travel within Lebanon with a valid driver’s license.
- Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally.
- Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
- Good command of English both written and oral.
