The primary objective of the Activity Coordinator is to ensure effective coordination and implementation of activities within the Cash-for-Work Project. Key responsibilities include task planning, resource mobilization, community engagement, and monitoring and evaluation. The Activity Coordinator will work closely with project stakeholders, including beneficiaries, community leaders, and project staff, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed work plans and schedules for the Cash-for-Work Project activities in coordination with the project team.
Coordinate and oversee the training, and daily management of beneficiaries engaged in cash-for-work activities.
Monitor the implementation of project activities, ensuring adherence to project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
Facilitate regular meetings and discussions with beneficiaries, community leaders, and relevant project staff to gather feedback and address concerns.
Provide guidance and support to beneficiaries, ensuring their safety, well-being, and adherence to project guidelines.
Conduct regular field visits to project sites to monitor progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions to address them.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project activities, including beneficiary attendance, work outputs, and any issues or incidents that arise.
Collaborate with the project team to prepare periodic progress reports and contribute to overall project reporting requirements.
Support the project team in identifying and mobilizing necessary resources, including tools, equipment, and materials for project implementation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant organizational policies, procedures, and donor requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in coordinating and implementing community-based projects, preferably in a cash-for-work or livelihoods context.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of participatory approaches and community engagement strategies.
Experience in monitoring and evaluation, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
Proficiency in using computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
