Main Responsibilities: The Audio-Visual Communication Officer is expected to assist in the development and implementation of LA TN communications strategy, with particular focus on the digital communication and designs of advocacy materials. S/he will work in conformity with the LA policies and procedures and LA TN brand guidelines.
Coordination Lines: S/he will receive technical guidance from LA TN artistic director and administrative guidance from the president of LA Tunis administrative board and the LA executive director. S/he will work in close cooperation with the editorial team at LA TN and in coordination with the communication team at LA offices in Beirut.
The Audio-Visual Communication Officer is expected:
1- Produce audiovisual material. This includes to:
- Coordinate with the editorial team to produce creative advocacy designs; among which are:
- Weekly infographics
- Monthly videos
- Upon request, produce audiovisuals (animations, podcasts…)
- Coordinate with the LA TN artistic director to ensure all LA TN brand guidelines are applied;
- Coordinate with the communication team in Beirut to ensure all visibility requirements are applied;
2- Design LA TN documents. This includes to:
- Design presentations for printing, electronic distribution, and live delivery;
- Design invitation for events with images and other related materials;
3- Ensure photo and video coverage of events upon request. This entails to:
- Deliver high quality footage for broadcast or non-broadcast production;
- Deliver high-quality photos that can be re-produced in print, multi-media and online formats;
- Prepare photos and videos for social media use;
- Produce materials for LA website including short documentaries, interviews, coverage, etc.;
- Prepare the appropriate scene, lighting, colors and background for taking photos and shooting videos;
- Use a professional camera and modern and traditional technical equipment;
- Improve image quality using various editing tools and programs;
4- Establish and maintain an organized physical and digital archive. This involves to:
- Archive physical documents;
- Create a digital archive of photos, PDFs, videos and other audiovisual materials produced by LA TN;
- Arrange the archive content by theme, date, location…
- Create an index with hyperlinks for the digital archive; and add hashtags relevant to the themes to ease search;
- Add the content of CDs and Hard Disks to the digital archive;
- Clean the archive of any impurities and empty files;
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Videography and Photography, Digital Communications, Cinematography, Audio-visual or related disciplines
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a reputable organization, ideally within a media, public or nonprofit organization.
- Proven experience in audio-visual content generation (photography and video) including the ability to shoot and edit.
- Ability to provide constructive and creative input for key messages delivery means.
- Ability to produce communications products using behavioral change communication.
- Knowledge of audio and visual communication.
- Solid and hands-on practical experience in videography and photography.
- Excellent artistic skills and high layout skills.
