1. Objective

The main objective of the project is to improve the overall food security of Akkar region through maintaining farmer’s productivity and ensuring equitable access to fresh produce.

The project is built around two main components:

• Emergency component: Improve the access to agricultural products for 10 groups of farmers and 200 households in the current crisis context.
• Development component: Strengthen the resilience of 10 groups of farmers to ensure a sustainable activity.

FTL has developed a local plant nursery in Ouwaynat Akkar.  The nursery is used to produce plants for farmers in the region and then, after harvesting, part of the produce is distributed to selected vulnerable households.

FTL is looking for an agricultural supplier to provide farmers with the necessary inputs.

• The service provider may only submit offers with available items from the above list

3. Evaluation

• The bidder’s evaluation process will consider following with assigned weights:

4. Payment Terms

• Payments will be made only through bank transfer or bank cheques
• The price will be paid in USD while the VAT will be paid in LBP based on the official exchange rate on the date of the invoice.
• The vendor should have a fresh USD bank account.
