Entry to market with sales and marketing consultancy- Atyab Zeit Boulos- Food System Challenge

Scope of work and Deliverables

The Consultant is expected to fulfill the following in addition to any other task required:

  1. Current Strategy Assessment:
    • Conduct a thorough assessment of the client's current marketing and sales strategies, including data analysis, digitization efforts, and selling models.
    • Identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in their existing approach.
  2. Data-Driven Selling Trends:
    • Advise the client on the latest data-driven selling trends and technologies that can enhance their sales and marketing efforts.
    • Recommend data analytics tools and techniques to gain valuable customer insights and optimize sales strategies.
  3. Digitization and Technology Integration:
    • Evaluate the client's digital presence and online marketing efforts.
    • Propose strategies for improving digital marketing, social media engagement, and website optimization.
  4. Sales Model Organization:
    • Help the client organize their sales model in a meaningful way, considering factors like sales team structure, target markets, and sales processes.
    • Develop sales training programs and resources to empower the sales team with the latest selling techniques.
  5. Go-To-Market (GTM) Operations:
    • Assist in optimizing the client's GTM operations, including product positioning, pricing strategies, and distribution channels.
    • Create a GTM plan that aligns with the company's growth objectives and market opportunities.
    • The consultant will help the client improve the effectiveness of their marketing and sales strategy by adopting new trends in data-driven selling, digitization, and selling models. Help them organize their GTM operations in a meaningful way and drive sustainable growth.
  6. Sustainable Growth Strategies:
    • Develop sustainable growth strategies that focus on long-term success and market expansion.
    • Provide guidance on customer retention, loyalty programs, and upselling opportunities.

Deliverables:

  1. Strategy Assessment Report:
    • A comprehensive report summarizing the assessment of the client's current marketing and sales strategies, with recommendations for improvement.
  2. Data-Driven Selling Recommendations:
    • A document outlining data-driven selling trends, tools, and techniques suitable for the client's business.
  3. Digitization and Technology Integration Plan:
    • A plan to enhance the client's digital marketing efforts and integrate technology for improved marketing and sales results.
  4. Sales Model Organization Strategy:
    • Recommendations and guidelines for organizing the client's sales model effectively.
  5. Go-To-Market (GTM) Plan:
    • A detailed GTM plan outlining product positioning, pricing strategies, and distribution channels.
  6. Sustainable Growth Strategies Document:
    • A document presenting sustainable growth strategies, focusing on customer retention and long-term market expansion.

The consultant will provide these deliverables within the specified intervention period after working closely with the client to improve their marketing and sales strategies, adopt data-driven approaches, and drive sustainable growth in their business.

As part of the program’s Monitoring and Evaluation (ME&L) processes, the consultant is required to:

  • Deliver a briefing report to the program’s team.
  • Attending check-ins short meetings, if needed and required by the program’s team.
  • Attending MEL induction meeting before the beginning of the session if requested by the program’s team.
  • Conducting pre-post assessment, feedback and attendance as requested by the program team.

  Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, MSc Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, and any other relevant field.  
  • At least 15 years of experience in similar projects.
  • Excellent communications and report writing skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic

How to Apply

The selected Consultant is expected to start his/her activities at the soonest after selection; the exact timeline and effective working days are to be set based on both the company’s and the Consultant’s availability not exceeding the end of November 2023. The total budget allocated for the intervention is within the range of USD 300/man-day.

Candidates should submit the following documents:

  • Technical (maximum two pages) describing the methodology to conduct the work based on the content suggested in section: “Scope of Work, Outputs, and Deliverables” elaborating it further.
  • Profile and project references (maximum two pages): A brief explanation of the consultant(s) background should be submitted (CVs shall be included as annex) along with project references on the topic.
  • Financial Proposal describing the expected renumeration and the proposed timeline and Days of intervention.

General Conditions: This is a Request for Proposal only. Issuance of this RFQ does not in any way obligate Berytech, the Food System Challenge Project, or WFP to make an award or pay for costs incurred by potential offerors in the preparation and submission of an offer.
