Berytech is seeking to hire consultants that will be able to assist in the entry to market, sales and marketing strategy for products to be launched in pouches to Irma & Co as per the scope of the interventions mentioned below. Irma & Co produces Armenian specialized products such as pepper powder, pepper paste, Sujouk spices, Basterma and its spices, molasses, and several other Armenian touched products located in Beirut.
Scope of work and DeliverablesThe Consultant is expected to fulfill the following in addition to any other task required:
- Market Analysis and Development Opportunities:
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the existing markets to identify growth opportunities and potential target segments.
- Assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to formulate strategies for market penetration and expansion.
- Sales Strategy and Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Develop a customized sales strategy aligned with the business goals and target markets.
- Define effective go-to-market strategies, including market entry approaches, distribution channels, pricing strategies, and sales tactics.
- Business Plan Development:
- Assist in structuring a well-grounded business plan, incorporating a clear vision, mission statement, and core values.
- Establish strategic objectives, key milestones, and action plans to guide the company's growth and development.
- Reputation Building and Branding:
- Develop a brand strategy to enhance the company's reputation and differentiation in the market.
- Define messaging, positioning, and branding elements to effectively communicate the company's value proposition.
- Customer Surveys and Market Research:
- Conduct customer surveys and market research to gain insights into potential customers' preferences, needs, and perceptions.
- Analyze survey data to understand customers' positions and develop strategies to bridge the gap between customer expectations and the product.
Deliverables:
- Market Analysis and Development Opportunities Report:
- A comprehensive report summarizing the market analysis findings and identifying growth opportunities in existing and potential markets.
- Sales Strategy and Go-to-Market Strategy Plan:
- A detailed plan outlining the sales strategy and go-to-market approach, including market entry strategies, distribution channels, pricing strategies, and sales tactics.
- Business Plan:
- A well-structured business plan incorporating a clear vision, mission statement, core values, strategic objectives, key milestones, and action plans.
- Reputation Building and Branding Strategy:
- A brand strategy document outlining messaging, positioning, and branding elements to enhance the company's reputation and differentiation in the market.
- Customer Surveys and Market Research Analysis:
- Analysis of customer survey data and market research findings to gain insights into potential customers' preferences, needs, and perceptions.
The consultant will provide these deliverables within the specified intervention period after working closely with the company to develop a customized business development plan to structure their growing business and capitalize on market opportunities.
As part of the program’s Monitoring and Evaluation (ME&L) processes, the consultant is required to:
- Deliver a briefing report to the program’s team.
- Attending check-ins short meetings, if needed and required by the program’s team
- Attending MEL induction meeting before the beginning of the session if requested by the program’s team
- Conducting pre-post assessment, feedback and attendance as requested by the program team

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, MSc Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, or a related field can be beneficial.
- At least 15 years of experience in similar projects.
- Excellent communications and report writing skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic
The selected Consultant is expected to start his/her activities at the soonest after selection; the exact timeline and effective working days are to be set based on both the company’s and the Consultant’s availability not exceeding the end of November 2023. The total budget allocated for the intervention is within the range of USD 300/man-day.
Candidates should submit the following documents:
- Technical (maximum two pages) describing the methodology to conduct the work based on the content suggested in section: “Scope of Work, Outputs, and Deliverables” elaborating it further.
- Profile and project references (maximum two pages): A brief explanation of the consultant(s) background should be submitted (CVs shall be included as annex) along with project references on the topic.
- Financial Proposal describing the expected renumeration and the proposed timeline and Days of intervention.
