Mapping of Services and Development of Awareness Raising Material

About the Disability Program at Taawon

For more than 20 years, Taawon has been providing support both technical and financial for several local partners active in the field of disability in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.  Long term collaboration has been established with six local partner organizations to help extend a wide range of services benefitting children and people with disabilities across all Palestinian refugee camps.

This year, and with funding from GIZ under the project “Enhancing the quality of life of Palestinian people and children with disability (PWD/CWD) in Lebanon”, Taawon’s support involves two main objectives: enhancing the capacity of partner organizations to provide relevant quality services across the different Palestinian camps at different levels and 2) strengthening and expanding community knowledge and support of PWD / CWD health, development, and inclusion.
