Trainer for Script Writing for Social Media Content

Shadda Media Lab was established as a media platform and shared workspace for media producers in Tripoli. Shadda's mission is to promote peace, positivity, and empathy through informative, entertaining, and realistic content. This effort aims to directly engage marginalized communities in Tripoli, providing them with a safe space for content creation and offering necessary equipment for innovative content development.

The trainer is required to provide training in script writing specifically tailored for short, engaging videos on various social media platforms to meet the organization objective in enhancing the storytelling and script writing skills of our team members responsible for creating short video content for social media campaigns.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop a structured training program focused on the principles of script writing for short videos on social media.
• Conduct interactive training sessions covering scriptwriting techniques, storytelling, and adapting content to various social media platforms.
• Provide practical exercises and assignments to allow participants to apply scriptwriting concepts.
• Offer guidance on creating engaging hooks, narratives, and call-to-actions within short video scripts.
• Review and provide feedback on participants' script drafts.
• Share resources and examples of successful social media video campaigns.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven expertise in script writing for short videos, particularly for social media.
• Previous experience in conducting scriptwriting training or workshops.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of different social media platforms and their video content requirements.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Strong facilitation and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Sensitivity to conflict-related issues and discrimination.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in media, communication, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate unexpected challenges.
• Comprehensive knowledge of effective strategies against hate speech and racism.
• Relevant degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
