GBV & PSS Officer

Main duties and responsibilities:

Internal and External coordination and reporting:

● Participate in the regular meetings with the GBV and Protection programs when

requested and needed,

● Contribute to the design of the program’s strategy, putting action points as per the

prioritization plan,

● Identify linkages with other projects/sectors and contribute actively to the internal

coordination,

● Monitor contextual updates and engage in relevant coordination/information-sharing

meetings as required,

● Collaborate closely with Amel’s partners and participate in external meetings if needed,

● Coordinate with the Protection project coordinator, and the GBV Program Coordinator to

ensure smooth implementation of the project,

● Contribute to national log frames and indicator reporting as needed,

Monitoring and reporting:

● Monitor the implementation of PSS activities, and provide coaching sessions to the

Social Workers,

● Collect data from the Case Workers and the Case Management Supervisor to report on

sector indicators at the national level,

● Coordinate and supervise the GBV Case Management team, the hotline operator, and

the psychotherapist,

● Provide technical guidance and trainings on gender inclusion and mainstreaming, GBV,

and PSS to all workers under the two programs,

● Contribute to project performance reports within the GBV and the Protection programs.

 

Qualifications:

● Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.

● Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

● Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly.

● Project management skills to coordinate activities across projects.

● Knowledge of the sector in which the organization operates.

● Problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose solutions.

● Experience with GBV Case Management.

● Experience with Psychosocial Support activities.

● Proficiency in English required

● Proficiency in French preferred

Education and Experience: 

 

● Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Social Sciences,

Psychology Public Health, Midwifery)

 

● 2 – 3 years of relevant experience.
