Background
USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI 2) is a five-year program seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.
World Learning has a vacancy for a short-term Consultancy named “Strategic Planning Trainer" for the USAID- funded Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement (QITABI 2) in Lebanon.

Scope and Responsibilities
The “Strategic Planning Trainer” will be working in close coordination with QITABI-2 SEL team to provide support and capacity building to public schools under the School Social and Emotional Learning Planning (SSELP) activity.
The Strategic Planning trainer will:
• Plan, conduct, and deliver capacity building sessions for Ministry of Education staff, public school administrators and staff (around Lebanon) through engaging, relevant, and culturally/contextually sound activities.
• Determine relevant approaches to implement strategic planning for schools tailored to their identified SEL needs; content should cover foundational strategic planning principals including goal setting, action plans, resource allocation, and performance allocation.
• Apply training approaches that are designed to ensure sensitivity, respect and consideration for diverse audiences.
• Provide support through monthly check in meetings with the schools to ensure continuity and smooth implementation of the school SEL plan.
• Work in close collaboration with SEL team and other teams involved to ensure coherence, consistency, and smooth implementation of the goals of the SSELP activity.
• Report on monthly progress of school implementation plan to better inform and refine the process of implementation for the schools.
• Participate in research dissemination meetings with schools, and other relevant entities.
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of an MA degree in a related field in strategic planning, public policy, community participation, social work, development studies or related field.
• Relevant working experience in community engagement and social activism, and fundraising for social projects.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant training experience with diverse audiences in the field of education.
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in Arabic, and English is highly desired.
