Food Processing Packages

1. Objective

CD4 aims to promote the capacity building of special food processing primary cooperatives, support the enabling environment and learning and sharing best practices to meet the objective of a strengthened primary cooperative level for women and youth forward agro-processing cooperatives in Lebanon. Over a period of 12 months (July 2023 – June 2024), Fair Trade Lebanon will strengthen the capacity of six Lebanese Primary Cooperatives, enrolled in CD4 activity, through business coaching and mentoring to promote their sustainability, business performance, good governance and leadership, and value of agro-processed food products.

Fair Trade Lebanon (FTL) is looking for a food supplier to provide beneficiaries with the packages they need to support their food processing and mouneh-making activities.

Requirements & conditions

• FTL will pay the VAT in LBP based on the official exchange rate approved by the government on the invoice date.
• The supplier should be able to provide at least 5 out of the mentioned items.
• The service provider must deliver all the items to Hazmie and/or Zahle.

3. Evaluation

• The bidder’s evaluation process will consider the following with assigned weights:

4. Payment Terms

• Payments will be made only through bank transfers or bank cheques
• The price will be paid in USD while the VAT will be paid in LBP based on the official exchange rate on the date of the invoice.
• The vendor should have a fresh USD bank account.
