Introduction About the Team:
Our HR team works to deliver impact on all HR functions through allowing effective functioning of the department to deliver what is best for the employees and efficient functioning to best support the program teams with the available resources. Accordingly, we build capacities & share knowledge regarding to all HR functions, we encourage participation of all HR team members in suggesting ideas, taking ownership of tasks in the developmental phase of some projects, and utilizing computer and technological application skills that would allow less administrative tasks.
Overall Internship Goal & Related Objectives:
The overall goal of this internship is to allow holistic learning process for the intern on HR aspects & participation in all HR aspects & ongoing HR projects to support in achieving the HR department goals for 2024, while learning key HR skills.
Thus, the following are the objectives of the HR Internship:
- Recruitment & Integration:
- Participate in the implementation of 2024 recruitment plan and the ongoing recruitment processes (shortlisting, interviews, communication with candidates, and other steps)
- Set the induction plan with line managers, follow up on achieving it, and ensure the acknowledgement of receiving induction is signed by all new joiners. Additionally, ensure all staff attended their mandatory inductions & report through a tracking sheet
- Participate in delivering inductions: HR handbook, Code of Conduct, and Associated Policies
- Performance Management & Learning:
- Support the HR team in tracking and analysing performance development reviews
- Build a training opportunities database with the opportunities that are relevant to our needs & disseminate to managers to allow implementation of the training plan
- Support in implementing training effectiveness surveys
- Working Environment:
- Suggest & participate in implementing initiatives that would positively impact the working environment
- Report any aspect affecting the working environment in the organization
- Participate in updating retention & exit survey forms and analysing them
- Archiving & Internal Audit:
- Participate in finalizing the electronic archive project
- Participate in finalizing the internal audit project
- Ensure proper archive of recruitment & staff files
- Others:
- Support in payroll process
- Support in preparing contracts & termination formalities
- Support in attendance & leaves management
- Support in Organizational charts
Deliverables:
- Recruited new employees for the positions assigned to you
- Ensured proper integration & induction for new joining employees, while participating in developing or updating the relevant tools
- Tracked and analysed performance development reviews on a bi-annual basis for the departments assigned to the HR intern
- Developed training opportunities database with the relevant opportunities to our training needs
- Participated in finalizing retention & exit surveys and the related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) analysis and tracking
- Finalized electronic archive for the files assigned to you
- Finalized internal audit for the files assigned to you
- Support the HR team in finalizing & disseminating tools & guidelines
- Suggest ideas that can evolve HR functions & working environment
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or an accredited HR certification
- Language:
- Fluent English
- Fluent Arabic
- Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office (excel, forms,visio, flow and or access )
- Skills:
- Communication skills , friendly & sociable character, highly professional
- Innovative, problem-solver
- Analytical skills
- Organization, planning, time management, and follow up skills
- Attention to details and reporting skills
- Humanitarian character
- Knowledge of proper & effective HR practices related to all HR functions
- Basic understanding of developing surveys and key performance indicators
Desirable:
- Master’s HR degree is a plus & HR experience is a plus
