Special Education Project Coordinator

SHEILD is looking for a Special Education Project Coordinator who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing innovative educational strategies using stories to meet needs of children with special needs. The Special Education Project Coordinator will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute programs and educational tools tailored to the individual needs of children facing challenges.

Main duties and responsibilities:

-Use Children’s stories as a foundation to design educational strategies aimed at enhancing the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children with special needs

-Develop detailed project plans outlining objectives and implementation steps to ensure an inclusive and adaptive approach

-Collaborate with special educators, psychologist’s, speech therapists and other professionals to create educational materials and tools

-Establish partnerships with community organizations, schools and other stakeholders to promote programs and educational tools

Key working relationships:

-The Special Education Project Coordinator will need to work closely with the project manager to understand the project requirements and objectives, set timelines and deadlines, and ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.

-The Special Education Project Coordinator will need to collaborate with proofreaders to ensure that the writing is clear, concise, grammatically correct, and meets the style and tone requirements of the project.

-For projects that require visual aids, the Special Education Project Coordinator will need to work closely with graphic designers and illustrators to create engaging and informative visuals that complement the writing.

 

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

-A Master’s degree in special education is a must

-Min 8-10 years of experience in the field of Special Education

-Experience in designing and implementing tailored educational programs

-In-depth knowledge of inclusive educational methods

-Excellent project coordinator skills

-Ability to work in a team and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts

-Sensitivity to the individual needs of children facing challenges
