Shelter Officer - Bekaa

Job Summary:

The Shelter Officer is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of shelter projects by delivering specialized training, conducting on-site assessments, overseeing the distribution of essential materials, handling data entry and reporting for daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular field visits to shelter sites to assess conditions and identify necessary improvements.
• Provide expert advice on optimizing shelter designs, layout, and modifications based on assessed needs and best practices.
• Develop and deliver training sessions focusing on shelter rigidity, stability, and durability.
• Site management and ability to run and lead focal group discussions.
• Ensure that beneficiaries understand the principles of shelter maintenance and the proper use of materials.
• Collaborate with the Information Management team to obtain beneficiary attendance data.
• Maintain accurate records of beneficiary participation in training sessions and activities.
• Ensure timely and equitable distribution of shelter kits and materials to beneficiaries.
• Coordinate with logistics and distribution teams to verify that beneficiaries receive the necessary supplies.
• Work closely with the Shelter Coordinator to align training activities with program objectives and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• University degree in a relevant field (civil engineering, architecture…..).
• Excellent communication and training facilitation skills.
• Strong knowledge of shelter design principles, construction techniques, and materials.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience in using Microsoft excel and word.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written, preferred.
• Skilled at driving and has a valid driver's license.
