Context & Background

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.  

About ARYAF PROJECT

ARYAF serves Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises operating in food processing, local hospitality, tourism, the restaurant industry, eco-tourism, and agri-tourism within west Bekaa, Zahle, and South Mount Lebanon.  

The program aims to empower sixty MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) to increase their sales volume, implement a business continuity plan, and train their staff, including youth, women, and disabled individuals.

The program is funded by The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in partnership with Berytech, within the framework of Strengthening Agriculture, Local Communities and Small and Medium Enterprises project (ACE). 

Scope of Work

The Social Media and website development expert will create and manage the online platforms related to businesses in the food processing industry through various social media platforms and create a well-designed website. In addition, the expert will be responsible for creating engaging and shareable content to build brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and increase sales.

SME Background

Celine Homemade Delights produces mouneh, spreads, jams, and Halawa. The business started in manual production and grew into an equipped facility with limited production capacity.

Deliverables

The consultant is expected to fulfill the following:

  1. Social Media Strategy Development
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the business’s goals and boost its online presence.
  • Lead the development of the business’s online social media channels and engage the right target audience.
  • Research and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.

2.Website Creation and Development:

  • Collaborate with a web developer to create and optimize the business website that aligns with the client’s branding and business goals.
  • Ensure a user-friendly interface, responsive design, and optimal functionality.

3.Content Creation and Management:

  • Create engaging, high-quality content for social media platforms, including written posts, images, videos, and other multimedia formats.
  • Develop a content calendar and schedule regular posts to maintain a consistent and active social media presence.
  • Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns to reach a wider audience and drive traffic to the website.
  • Produce videos and reels telling the brand story, emphasizing the product's quality, freshness, organic, and natural aspects.

4.Online Shop:

  • Implement an e-commerce platform for direct product sales.
  • Develop detailed product listings with descriptions and pricing (pricing already set).
  • Promote the products and organize professional photoshoots capturing different settings to convey the brand message.

5.Trade Shows and Events:

  • Identify relevant industry events and trade shows to participate in.
  • Plan and coordinate the company’s presence at these events to showcase and build industry relationships.

6.Social Media Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and overall performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media analytics, highlighting trends, insights, and recommendations for improvement.

7.Reporting:

  • Deliver a detailed project overview, showcasing the intervention's implementation progress and qualitative and quantitative results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, web design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and website development, preferably within the food processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their features, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in content creation and copywriting for social media.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising and campaign management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends, algorithms, and industry developments.

Timeline and Application

The selected Consultant is expected to start their activities as soon as possible after selection (the effective date is to be confirmed), and the contract duration is up to 3 months.

Candidates should submit the following documents:

  • Technical (maximum two pages) describing the methodology to conduct the work based on the content suggested in the section “Scope of Work, Outputs, and Deliverables,” elaborating on it further.
  • Profile and project references (maximum two pages): A brief explanation of the consultant(s) background should be submitted (CVs shall be included as an annex) along with project references on the topic.
  • Financial Proposal describing the expected remuneration and the proposed period of the intervention divided per deliverable as listed above.

The firm/consultant is required to perform a pre-assessment visit/call to the business to assess and quote accordingly.
