Position Overview: The Student Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the non-formal education program. Responsible for various tasks, the Student Supervisor ensures smooth operations, promotes student attendance, and assists in delivering quality education to all learners. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing inclusive education opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Student Attendance Management:

• Implement effective tracking and monitoring systems to ensure consistent student attendance at the education center.
• Address any attendance-related issues promptly and work towards improving attendance rates.

2. Outreach and Promotion:

• Engage in outreach activities within the community to promote the non-formal education program and attract new students.
• Collaborate with local stakeholders to raise awareness about the program's benefits and encourage participation.

3. Quality Education Implementation:

• Support teachers in ensuring the implementation of quality education practices.
• Monitor classrooms and assist in addressing any challenges or issues that may arise during teaching sessions.

4. Data Collection and Reporting:

• Collect and maintain accurate student attendance records, assessments, and post-test grades.
• Prepare and submit reports regularly to track program progress and outcomes.

5. Support to Teachers:

• Assist teachers by providing support during classroom activities and organizing educational materials.
• Facilitate learning by engaging with students and providing additional assistance as needed.

6. Inclusion of Special Needs Students:

• Ensure the inclusion of children with special needs in education activities, providing necessary support and accommodations.
• Work towards creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

7. Material Management:

• Assist in the distribution and monitoring of educational materials, ensuring they are used effectively and appropriately.
•  Maintain inventory records and replenish supplies as needed to support teaching and learning activities.

8. Protection Mainstreaming:

• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with protection mainstreaming guidelines.
• Report any concerns or incidents related to student well-being or safety to the appropriate authority for prompt action.

9. Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other staff members and departments to ensure the smooth operation of the education program.
• Contribute to team meetings and discussions, sharing insights and ideas to improve program effectiveness.

10. Awareness raising/PSS sessions: 

• Implementation of Life Skills/Recreational/PSS Events and Awareness-Raising Sessions for students.
• Conduct awareness-raising sessions for parents on the importance of education.

11. Classroom Observation

• Conduct regular classroom observations to monitor teaching practices, student engagement, and overall classroom dynamics.
• Document observations and insights and share them with Education Technical Officers for further discussion and analysis, contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching quality and student learning outcomes.
