Terms of Reference
- Recruitment Context
Employment promotion project is looking for a volunteer. The volunteer will ensure support in the effective implementation of the project for six months.
- Required qualifications, competences, and experience
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field of work (Business administration, economics, social sciences, political science or equivalent)
Professional experience
- Initial experience of working in the field of competence base training, skills development, work-based learning, project administration, etc.
- Writing, reading, and speaking in English and Arabic at fluently
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Social, intercultural understanding and interest, flexibility, ability to work in a team, sense of diplomacy, ability to work in a politically sensitive environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable to rapidly changing priorities and able to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high quality work products
- Willingness to up-skill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures will be agreed with management
- Computer literacy (MS Windows: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and Internet)
- The volunteer will support in the following:
- the training sessions implemented by project grantees meet quality standards set by EPL.
- training and coaching sessions as part of the Business Development Services implemented by project grantees meet quality standards set by EPL.
- training sessions for grantees of software applications supported by the project are planned and documented in line with the quality standards set by EPL.
- the M&E specialist receives updated and correct data collected during events.
- the project office in charge of communication and visibility required have the information required to perform their tasks.
- the documentation of the activities that she/he oversees is captured, stored, and classified according to the requirements of the team.
- Facilitate the adoption of an AI-driven skill-profiling application commissioned by the project for its partners.
- Maintain the digital assets of the grants in partners' channels, ensuring:
- Uploading all relevant documents to the designated channel.
- Properly tagging all documents for easy retrieval and organization.
- Logging all events accurately and comprehensively.
- Contribute to knowledge management efforts by organizing and maintaining project-related documents, reports, and databases.
- Actively participate in meetings with partners and accompanies them on field visits.
- Conduct field visits to training sessions conducted by partners, assessing and documenting session quality in assessment reports.
- Conduct field visits to private sector organizations, administering questionnaires to gather information.
- Attend partner events and complete monitoring templates as required.
- Support the organization and facilitation of focus group discussions (FGDs) with beneficiaries of partner organizations and prepare FGD reports.
- Support in the communication activities of the project such as the formulation of social media posts, review of press releases.
- Support partners in using the skill profiling app adopted by the project
- Assist in the revision of monthly reports submitted by partners, providing support in reviewing and improving their content and accuracy.
- Conduct research and collect data relevant to the project.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the component two team to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
Project Description: The aim of the project is to improve the employment situation of young Lebanese adults, women and people with disabilities in selected pilot regions (Beirut and Mount Lebanon).
The project has 3 outputs:
- employment potentials for young adults, and women and people with disabilities are identified.
- employability of young adults, women and people with disabilities is improved.
- the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in selected employment-relevant sectors is improved.
