- Monitoring and Implementing Activities:
- Conducts child screening, progress and evaluation assessment based on agreed timelines.
- Conduct reeducation sessions to children of different ages and various types of functional limitation targeting objectives identified in the assessments.
- Use quantitative and qualitative assessments to assess the children’s learning difficulties.
- Write individualized Special Education Reports to include the outcome and results of the assessment and the targeted objectives.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Support caregivers with recommendations related to learning difficulties that are tailored based on each child’s assessment.
- Share tips and recommendations on individualized adaptations with the inclusion officer to support the child’s academic pathway and learning skills.
- Share and explain the Assessment Reports including the learner’s progress with the Inclusion Officer, other therapists and caregivers.
- Share sessions outcomes with caregivers and engage them in the session follow up of their child.
- Assess and identify other needs of referral to the child: specialized services, assistive devices, health services or any other service
- Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Special Education
- At least 2 years of experience in providing Special Education one on one sessions
- Preferably previous experience in Integrated Inclusive Approach
- Preferably previous experience working with children/refugees/vulnerable populations
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong Social and Communication skills
- Ability to adapt and be capable to deal with difficult security conditions
- Fluent in Arabic
- Strong writing skills in English (reports should be provided in English)
- Cultural sensitivity
