Catering Manager

  1. Main Tasks & responsibilities
  1. Promote Souk el Tayeb, develop existing catering projects, and solicit new catering business
  • Identify catering business opportunities and provide revenue projection for catering events sales
  • Sell on / offsite and abroad catered events
  • Find new customers and ensure repeat business
  • Establish a strong client base - updated database
  • Research the latest catering trends to promote competitive catering services

 

  1. Manage Customer Relations
  • Work closely with clients from initial contact through completion of the event confirming all details of the event and ensuring all details have been communicated with the operations team
  • Consult with clients, providing plans and cost estimates
  • Maintain contact with clients before, during, and after the event to ensure satisfaction
  • Ensure excellent customer experience – premises, staff, food…
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Hygiene and Safety requirements
  • Is involved in all
  • Follow-up on customers’ inquiries, and needs – respond proactively
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and handle complaints and issues
  • Follow-up on payments and collection with Accounting
  1. Manage and Execute Catering Events
  • Establish an ‘events’ calendar’
  • Do the planning associated with each event, right through to delivery – menu planning…
  • Develop proposals, in collaboration with the Managing Partners
  • Coordinate catering activities amongst staff to ensure that a high quality of production and service is consistently maintained
  • Coordinate quotations, logistics, and needed resources
  • Plan menus in consultation with chefs and ordering supplies as required
  • Follow up with the concerned chef on the planning and preparations for the catering event/service needs, equipment list…
  • Liaise with catering suppliers, in collaboration with the Chef to ensure all resources are available
  1. Reporting
  • Establish an events calendar and share it with the Managing partners for approval
  • Share plan associated with each event, right through to delivery
  • Share delivery status and outcomes – per event
