English Language Teacher

Job Description:

The applicant should be able to adopt a student-centered approach and work towards strengthening learners conversational English, among other skills. Limited abilities and beginner level background is expected from the targeted youth, that need to be addressed based on their needs. Classes are divided by the coordinator based on learners’ levels and needs. Weekly and monthly evaluations are expected to be delivered. Summative and formative assessments are mandatory. Monthly and quarterly reports on classes outcome and progress are to be submitted.

Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans that cover weekly sessions
• Submit a weekly evaluation on the progress and interaction of the youth
• Submit monthly and quarterly reports on progress and outcome of the sessions
• Follow a systematic curriculum set by the coordinator adopting an interactive approach to learning
• Use an interactive, student-centered approach in learning
• Create monthly tests and submit grades to the coordinator by the end of each month

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate ability to interact with vulnerable youth in a vulnerable community
• Demonstrate integrity by modeling MARCH values and ethical standards
• Positive, constructive attitude and consistently approaches work with energy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Master’s in English Language Teaching (ELT) or linguistics, Bachelor in education, teaching diploma, or other related fields
• Minimum of 3-year experience in teaching EFL for adults
