The Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development is a Lebanese non-governmental organization with special consultative status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Tha Hariri Foundation is dedicated to sustainable development across various sectors, including Education & Digital Transformation, Socioeconomic Development, Active Citizenship, Sustainability & Climate Action, and Public Health & Wellbeing. HF operates in partnership with stakeholders to promote citizen engagement, social cohesion, and community resilience.

Position Overview

The Youth Engagement Officer will lead and manage youth volunteers across the Hariri Foundation's programs, fostering active youth participation in community service, environmental conservation, and cultural exchange initiatives. The position aims to enhance youth participation in volunteerism and community service by providing a platform that enables young people to contribute to community activities and awareness initiatives. This role involves coordinating logistical support, organizing events, and promoting social awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the recruitment and management of volunteers 
• Coordinate volunteer training on various fields and skills 
• Document and record information and data related to volunteer activities 
• Ensure effective coordination and task delegation across projects and centers 
• Manage the operations of volunteer-based projects 
• Facilitate local environmental, cultural, and tourism activities to support community engagement projects 
• Organize activities promoting cultural exchange and social cohesion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Community Development, Management Information Systems, or related field; additional training in volunteer management or youth engagement is a plus. 
• At least 3 years in volunteer management, community service, or youth programs; proven leadership and team coordination experience; experience in organizing youth-focused events and activities. 
• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management abilities 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Proficient in data management and logistical coordination 
• Knowledge of social issues affecting youth (e.g., drugs, extremism) 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools
