INT2024 30 - Project Support Intern (M&E)

  1. Develop skills in creating, implementing, and tracking comprehensive monitoring plans, including data collection, maintenance, and analysis.
  2. Gain practical experience in field travel to support monitoring activities, discuss corrective measures, and apply findings during the project design phase.
  3. Identify and analyze critical challenges, lessons learned, and best practices from monitoring findings, and communicate these effectively to stakeholders.
  4. Gain expertise in compiling reports for projects, programs, and strategies, and learn to monitor endorsement procedures and reporting schedules.
  5. Support data entry for UN reporting platforms such as UN INFO and Lebanon Aid Tracking.
  6. Develop skills in preparing inputs for project development based on specific needs and situation analysis.
  7. Support the “do no harm” principle and promote Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) by developing effective accountability mechanisms.
  8. Support communications staff to utilize monitoring data and evaluation findings for public relations and compile human interest stories for publishing.
  9. Stay informed about internal frameworks for monitoring and Results Based Management (RBM) to ensure compliance with IOM’s strategies and standards
  10. Support with other related tasks as may be required.

Applicants to IOM internships:

must, at the time of application, a) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or b) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or c) have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
