Field Activities Officer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Hub Operation and Supervision:
    • Oversee daily hub operations, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
    • Manage access to the facility and enforce organizational rules and regulations
  2. Beneficiary Interaction and Issue Management:
    • Serve as a point of contact for daily beneficiary interactions, including monitoring attendance and behavior.
    • Build strong relationships with beneficiaries, helping to create a trusting and positive environment.
    • Handle minor conflicts swiftly, reporting serious issues or risks to the appropriate coordinators.
  3. Activities Oversight:
  • Assist the project coordinator in implementing program activities.
  • Regularly move throughout the center to monitor ongoing activities interactions between trainers and beneficiaries, and overall compliance with program standards.
  • Ensure all hub activities are conducted smoothly according to the planned schedules, reporting any issues related to beneficiaries or trainers.
  • Monitor the punctuality and presence of trainers, addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Write evaluation reports on project activities
  1. Resource Distribution:
    • Manage the distribution of food parcels, hygiene supplies, and uniforms, documenting these activities accurately.
  2. Reporting and Communication:
    • Compile data and generate regular reports to provide insights into operational challenges and successes.
    • Ensure all documentation is well-organized and accessible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Conflict Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Previous field experience, particularly in conflict-affected or post-conflict environments.
  • Strong understanding of conflict dynamics and strategies for peacebuilding and reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in multicultural settings.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in relevant local languages preferred.
