Crowd Controller - Casual Worker

Main Tasks:

• Patrolling the distribution site and checking the surroundings and gates for unauthorized entry.
• Monitoring the crowds for any intervention when needed.
• Watching for irregularities such as fire hazards, malfunctions of equipments.
• Monitoring exits , beneficiaries lines and contacting the FRO, by radio or phone if security is breached or fire is detected.
• Maintaining order at venues where there are large gatherings of people during distributions.
• Providing support to the FRO and the Risk manager during detecting and investigating theft and other unlawful acts 

Experience:

• At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal tasks listed above.
• In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal tasks

Requirements:

• Have an understanding of the vulnerability aspects of beneficiaries
• Have the will and motivation to work in the humanitarian field
• Have the ability to work under stress and react calmly to stressors arising during work especially when dealing with the refugees
