Procurement Officer

  The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the acquisition of goods and services for the organization. This role involves ensuring that procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. The Procurement Officer will work closely with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services.
  • Manage the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery, including creating and issuing purchase orders.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service and supply chain reliability.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts to achieve favorable pricing and service levels.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock situations.
  • Conduct regular cost analyses to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed procurement decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of successful procurement and supplier management.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical procurement practices.
