Entrepreneurship Trainer

Main Responsibilities of the Position

Under the overall supervision and guidance of the project director in Baalbek and the JRS Lebanon Regional Livelihoods Officer, the trainer will develop and deliver a 16-day training program on entrepreneurship skills for 25 vulnerable women (3 hours per day) who have already participated in a skills development training workshop. By the end of the training, trainees will have developed a market-validated business idea and prepared a solid business plan and marketing strategy for pitching to receive seed funding. The training program should cover the following topics:

  • Entrepreneurship mindset and skills
  • Idea generation
  • Market study and idea validation
  • Financial literacy
  • Basic finance (balance sheet, income statement, budgeting)
  • Marketing (sales, promotions, social media and advertising, packaging, and branding)
  • SWOT analysis and SMART goals
  • Pricing and costing
  • Leadership skills, decision-making, and problem-solving
  • Legal orientation
  • Pitching of the idea

Expected Deliverables

1. Before the start of the training

  • The training calendar with session titles.
  • Samples of training books/materials for distribution.
  • A curriculum handout organized by training sessions, describing:

    a) Session topics.
    b) List of key contents and talking points.
   c) Pre- and post-training test questionnaires to verify levels, competences, and learning. The tests should be the same and delivered before the start date of the   training and after the last session.

2. During the training

  • Maintains a record of the participants' progress and attendance.
  • Accompanies participants in the development of business plans according to their profiles.
  • Attends the pitching sessions for the selection of successful business ideas to receive seed funding.

3. After the end of the training
Provides a report on the participants’ feedback, lessons learned, and remarks.

Qualifications, Skills, and Personal Attributes

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in providing business development support to nascent startups.
  • Prior experience in teaching or training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with diverse groups.
