World Learning – Dirasa & Makani Programs - Human Resources Officer

The UNICEF-funded “Dirasa Program" & “Makani Program”, aims to create for out-of-school children, multiple pathways that are flexible and responsive to each child’s unique learning needs. The program will be implemented in private /semi-private schools, community centers and is estimated to target out of school children and Retention support for students who are already enrolled in schools.
Scope:
The Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting the HR team in various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
This position is for a Lebanese national.

Main Responsibilities
• Tracking and following up on staff requests and inquiries
• Maintain proper and accurate filing of personnel documents
• Responsible for tracking and inspection of employees’ timesheets
• Handle and maintain all employment and consultancy contracts and ensure that contractual obligations are adhered to.
• Prepare payments for WL consultants and volunteers and submit all to Finance department
• Arrange all applicant screenings, interviews and tests
• Ensure that new recruits submit all the personal information & documents required
• Work as part of the team and liaise with other departments to ensure effective communication across the organization
• Support the HR Unit in organizing learning and induction sessions
• Post vacancies on career websites
• Review staff monthly transportation allowance and mileage reimbursements
• Monitor employee attendance and leaves and update trackers monthly
• Assist in preparing events such team annual Christmas Lunch, etc.
• Keep a high level of integrity, confidentiality and ethical behavior

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
• 2+ years in an advanced HR role; NGO experience is a must.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations.
• Professional experience in an office environment - Strong administrative skill
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work as a team player and adapt to quick changing situations.
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written as well as fluency in Arabic is required. Knowledge of French preferred
• Diplomacy and the ability to deal with situations that are stressful to others.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Respect for PSEA Policy.
