Part Time - Music Teacher

The Music Teacher will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging music program that fosters students' musical talents and creativity. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of music theory, a range of musical genres, and the ability to inspire and educate students of all skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive music curriculum for various grade levels (e.g., elementary, middle, high school).
• Teach music theory, history, and practical skills including instrumental and vocal techniques.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for music.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a disciplined environment conducive to learning.
• Foster a love for music and performance among students through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
• Organize and direct student performances, concerts, and recitals, including rehearsals and post-performance evaluations.
• Conduct group lessons encouraging collaboration and teamwork.
• Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
• Prepare reports and communicate students’ progress to parents and school administration.
• Stay current with trends in music education and incorporate new techniques and technologies into the classroom.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, curriculum updates, and performance opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives.
