Assistant/Community Development Center

Responsibilities

Initiate, implement, and evaluate activities and sessions including (Awareness sessions, Skills Trainings, Life Skills sessions, Recreational activities, Community Initiatives, Community events, and other relevant CDC activities).

Provide direct supervision and support to CDC trainers in the performance of their respective duties and ensure the efficient functioning of the project.

Lead FGDs with beneficiaries to identify activities needed for the CDC on a continuous basis.

Supervise 1 community group and Follow up on roles and responsibilities of the community groups and report on their achievements

Increase community awareness, mobilization, enrolment, and engagement in CDC activities (through disseminating information, coordination meetings...)

Coordinate closely with the Referral to protection assistants for persons of concern and participants in the CDC.

Coordinate closely and report with the project manager to keep track of targets related to the CDC activities.

Data entry on the Kobo system and other systems required by the donor.

Handle all administrative and financial matters related to the direct reports and the CDC (Procurement, logistics).

Perform other duties, as needed or requested by the supervisor

 

Job Requirements:

Work Experience:

At least three years of prior professional experience in a similar post with NGO.

Team management experience.

Good protection background and knowledge of refugee context.

Good knowledge of community center management.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination, and safety of beneficiaries at all times.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity, and flexibility with a positive attitude.

Strong team spirit, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment.

Detailed oriented.

Flexibility in working overtime when needed and ability to handle pressure well.

Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).

Skilled in modern Information Technology.
