Social Worker - Tripoli

Position Overview: The Social Worker at Restart Medical Center (RMC) plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychosocial support to vulnerable individuals, children, and families. This role requires a dynamic individual who can coordinate with various stakeholders, conduct assessments, manage cases, and facilitate access to essential services. The Social Worker will also be responsible for engaging the community, raising awareness, and ensuring that beneficiaries receive the care and support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Beneficiary Support and Counseling:
    • Conduct social counseling sessions with beneficiaries, providing psychosocial support and facilitating access to necessary services.
    • Conduct exploration interviews to assess the psychosocial and physical conditions of new beneficiaries.
    • Identify and register vulnerable individuals, ensuring they receive specialized interventions and structured social support.
    • Regularly follow up, monitor, and review cases to ensure that beneficiaries' needs are met, taking necessary action when required.
    • Raise awareness and provide psychoeducation to families during registration and throughout their engagement with Restart services.
  • Coordination and Liaison:
    • Act as the focal point for RMC, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, therapists, and other mental health professionals.
    • Liaise with and make referrals to other organizations as necessary, ensuring seamless service provision for beneficiaries.
    • Coordinate with the CBS (Community-Based Services) coordinator on a daily basis regarding program implementation, and with the RMC director on registration and other requirements.
    • Engage with outreach volunteers and coordinate community-based activities, including awareness-raising and psychosocial support initiatives.
  • Planning and Reporting:
    • Develop and update individual case plans for each beneficiary, outlining clear outcomes and timelines.
    • Prepare and submit weekly plans to the CBS coordinator, ensuring alignment with program goals.
    • Maintain accurate records and manage the archiving of case files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organizational standards.
    • Prepare and submit monthly activity reports to respective coordinators and the senior project accountant.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Introduce and promote Restart services within targeted communities, conducting focus groups with women, men, and children in identified regions.
    • Conduct rapid needs assessment interviews and administer resilience/impact forms to beneficiaries before therapy initiation and after its completion.
    • Participate in all awareness-raising, recreational, and psychosocial activities, both at the center and in the community.
  • Training and Professional Development:
    • Actively participate in training modules, case conferences, supervisions, and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Assist in the administrative preparation of meetings and training sessions organized by Restart.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of psychosocial support and community-based services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in case management and report writing.
  • Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
