Enumerators - From Fneideq village - Akkar (x5)

Background

The Enumerators will work under the project “SAFE: Sustainable Agri-Food Economy for refugee and local communities in vulnerable governorates of Lebanon”, funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Danish MoFA) and implemented in partnership with Mada Association, Fondazione We World – GVC Onlus (WW-GVC), and Lebanese Observatory for Workers & Employees Rights Organization (LWRO).

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The Enumerator will be responsible for collecting data from different stakeholders in Fneideq Village , located in Akkar, North Lebanon, as part of the Local Development Plan (LDP) activity. The Enumerator will report directly to Mada's Project Manager and work on a daily basis based on request.

Main Tasks

  1. Induction and training: Attend an induction meeting with Mada’s Meal manager and/or the LDP consultant and participate in a session on clean data collection and proper communication with the different stakeholders, ensuring adherence to Mada’s code of ethics and PSEA polices.
  2. Data Collection: Conduct detailed technical assessments through field visits, filling out surveys with community members and stakeholders to collect accurate data.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with local stakeholders in Fneideq, Akkar, including community leaders, local authorities, and other relevant parties, to collect information on their needs and priorities.
  4. Data Verification: Conduct phone calls to verify collected data when necessary. If further validation is required, conduct additional field visits for validation purposes.
  5. Reporting and Updates: Debrief the Project Manager and/or MEAL Manager on the progress of data collection and any challenges faced during the process (daily updates).
  6. Data Submission: Submit accurate and complete data within specified timelines, adhering to quality standards in data collection.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Full Adherence to Mada's Code of Ethics and PSEA Policies: The Enumerator must adhere to Mada's mission and vision, as well as Ethics Code and PSEA policies.
  • Previous Experience in Data Collection: Familiarity with Kobo App or similar data collection tools.
  • Degree in Relevant Field: High School Degree.
  • Good Organizational, Coordination, and Time-Management Skills: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to engage with community members and stakeholders effectively.
  • Fluent in Arabic: Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Resident: From Fneideq Village.
  • Proactive, Flexible, and Dynamic: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Timeframe / Duration

    The Enumerators are expected to begin work in September 2024 for a period of approximately 20 working days each across 2 months (based on needs).
