Social Worker - Beqaa

Accountability and Complexity 

  • Develop and facilitate integrated life skills and mental health sessions, ensuring each session is tailored to meet participants' needs. 
  • Design and conduct workshops for children, focusing on age-appropriate mental well-being topics, and adapt content based on participant feedback and outcomes. 
  • Assess and identify youth and children requiring further mental health support, providing non-specialized one-on-one sessions and coordinating referrals to RI’s MH team. 
  • Identify and refer parents/caregivers in need for mental health support to MH team 
  • Conduct parenting skills sessions to parents/caregivers 
  • Updated the plan on a monthly basis; 
  • Continuously monitor and provide support to RI’s Education Center Officers and Education Assistants in order to ensure healthy interaction with and between children, especially for those presenting behavioral difficulties 
  • Support MHPSS Supervisor in the Monthly and Quarterly Reports; 
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and lessons learned events. 

Reporting and Documentation: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sessions conducted, including participant attendance, session content, and feedback received. 
  • Prepare regular progress reports detailing the outcomes of the life skills and mental well-being sessions, including challenges faced and recommendations for future improvements. 
  • Document referrals made to the MH team, ensuring follow-up and monitoring of referred cases to track their progress and well-being. 
  • Responsible for archiving required documents/reports 
  • Ensure efficient data collection by filling in the mental health database daily (assessment form, follow-up form) and KOBO 

Coordination: 

  • Coordinate with the MHPSS Supervisor and other team members to ensure the seamless delivery of sessions and workshops, aligning them with RI’s overall program goals. 
  • Communicate with RI’s MH team to provide updates on participants’ progress and discuss any additional support needed for specific cases. 
  • Work collaboratively with other Social Workers and psychologist to share best practices, develop session materials, and ensure a consistent approach across all RI Learning Centers. 

Behavior and conduct: 

  • Ensures that behavior inside and outside of work promotes the values in RI’s code of conduct and safeguarding policies  
  • Acts with integrity and holds themselves accountable for being respectful, inclusive and professional 
  • Reports any concerns
