The Opportunity
The Child Rights Governance (CRG) Specialist is a key role within Save the Children Lebanon, responsible for ensuring the design, implementation, and monitoring of high-quality CRG programs across the country. The CRG Specialist focuses on field-level support, capacity building, and partnership strengthening to ensure the integration of high-quality CRG programs. The role requires establishing strong working relationships with government, UN, NGOs, and local civil society counterparts, while also offering ongoing support to Save the Children’s field teams in Lebanon.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Master’s degree in human rights, child rights, international law, or other relevant social science disciplines, or the equivalent work experience in similar area of work.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
- Minimum of 3 years in a technical role in CRG within an NGO, UN agency, or other development or humanitarian organization.
- Demonstrated experience working in NGOs with strong programmatic and analytical skills, supporting rights-based approaches, programmatic and strategic goals, design, implementation is preferred,
- Demonstrated experience of writing excellence, research, capacity building, M&E, and knowledge management is preferred.
- Experience in working with local or community-based organization, a background in community organising/volunteering , or engagement with community-based or national networks is a plus.
- Demonstrated capacity in , advocacy and campaigns, fundraising, community organizing, facilitation, is also a plus.
- Proven experience in emergencies programming and participation in emergency coordination forums.
- Experience in fundraising, proposal development, and managing programs with a budget of over $1 million.
- Strong understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation processes and methodologies.
- Excellent report writing skills, including experience with funding proposals and donor reports.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work in diverse international environments.
- Ability to analyse information, evaluate options, and plan strategically.
- Commitment to Save the Children’s values and principles, including a rights-based approach.
